PRiSMA® DRiVE Day&Night, the glasses for car drivers, is applicable for the at driving during the day or the night. The transmission characteristics of the used glass filters meet all requirements for the capability of driving at night.
PRiSMA® DRiVE Day&Night are the ideal glasses for driving. The special PRiSMA® yellow filter glasses with their intensive and particularly pure colors are a delight for the eyes. Through the filter characteristics of those eyeglass lenses, the visual acuity as well as the contrast increase enormously. Disrupting reflections and blue portions deteriorating the visibility are reduced.
Through this, the impression of acuity as well as the sight of contrast is improved during the day. The nervous system is supported through the color yellow and the ability to concentrate can benefit in a positive way. Used during the night, an extraordinarily eye-relieving effect can be achieved with these glasses.
The wavelength of the visible light radiation is reduced from red over yellow and green to blue. The eye is the most sensitive with the area yellow to green, where the creation of the image is the sharpest. The more blue in the light, the less sharp the picture becomes.
The light of the modern xenon headlights, which keep getting a wider distribution, contains a very high blue portion, what can lead to an increased sensitivity to light for a lot of people. Many sense this light as unpleasant and blinding. Through the blue filter effect of the PRiSMA® glasses DRiVE Day&Night, the high blue portion is filtered out of the light. The result is a visual impression pleasantly soft and strong in contrast for the eye.
The short-wave and energy-rich blue is said to have characteristics particularly straining for the eye. It also poses a particular strain for not yet prestressed or harmed eyes and one shouldn't expose oneself to this too much if possible.
Blue light plays a role at several eye conditions (AMD etc.) as well as at several kinds of cancer. Doctors and scientists advise to take bright light containing blue with a pinch of salt.
